Carver County Parks allow dogs in most areas within the parks but are required to be on a leash at all times. No pets are allowed to enter a beach area, nature center area, refuge area, picnic area, park building or other “no pet” designated areas within a park. Dogs are allowed in the campground at Baylor Regional Park but are required to be on a leash. The off-leash dog area at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park in Chanhassen includes a separate area for small dogs and approximately one mile of trails.
