Telluride Gondola is the first and only free public transportation system of its kind in the United States. This 8-mile, 13-minute ride connects the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village and offers incredible 365-degree views of the San Juan mountains. Leashed pets are welcome in designated cars on the Telluride Gondola, as long as they are leashed or in a carrier. The gondola is free to ride and runs from mid-May to mid-October during the Summer Season and mid-November to mid-April during the Winter Season.
