Flathead National Forest Campgrounds are located in the western part of Montana, south of Glacier National Park. Flathead has 31 developed camping areas, some offering expanded services such as Wi-Fi, paved roads and cell phone service; others are more primitive with limited services. Of the 31 campgrounds, 13 are under management by a concessionaire through a special use permit. The concessionaire managed campgrounds include: Flathead Valley Campgrounds manages Tally Lake, Big Creek, and Devil Creek campgrounds, as well as several sites around Hungry Horse Reservoir; Big Sky Recreation Company operates campgrounds at Holland Lake, Swan Lake, and Lindbergh Lake. Pets on a leash are allowed in the campgrounds.
