Minnesota State Forest Campgrounds offer both dedicated campgrounds and dispersed camping, and include 46 campgrounds with 1,000 campsites. Unlike state park campgrounds, forest campgrounds do not have resident managers, organized nature programs, or modern facilities such as showers and flush toilets. Dedicated campsites generally include: cleared area, fire ring, vault toilet, picnic table, garbage cans, and drinking water. In select campgrounds, off-highway vehicles (OHVs) are permitted to ride directly to and from their campsite. Dogs and other pets must be under control at all times.
