The Presidio of San Francisco is a National Historic Landmark District located in the northwest corner of San Francisco at the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Dogs are welcome in the Presidio but must be on leash. A section of Park Trail between Mountain Lake and the Golf Course General Store is closed to all dogs due to coyote pupping season. Dog walkers should also stay alert in the section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail near the Park Trail.
