In Rocky Mountain National Park, pets are allowed in some areas of the park but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Pets are only allowed in areas accessed by vehicles, including roadsides, parking areas, picnic areas and campgrounds. Pets are prohibited on all trails, tundra, and meadows, or in any park visitor centers. If you’d like to hike with your pets, there are nearby trails outside the park, including trails in Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest, multi-use trails around the Town of Estes Park, and Larimer County Open Space areas.
