Located at 5201 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD 21704, Monocacy National Battlefield is the site of the Battle of Monocacy in the American Civil War in 1864. The park encompasses 1,647 acres of rolling farm fields, historic buildings, and sweeping panoramas along the scenic Monocacy River. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the park, but are not permitted in park buildings.
