The Block Island Ferry is the only year-round ferry service and the only vehicle ferry service to Block Island, offering Traditional ferry service as well as the fastest ferry trip from the mainland on the High speed ferry service. Pets are allowed on both ferries. On the Traditional ferry pets must be on a leash or in a carrier, and are not permitted on the seats or benches inside the cabins. On the High-Speed ferry pets are permitted in the cabin in a pet carrier only; pets that are not in a carrier must be leased and remain on the outside decks.
