Located 1.5 miles south of Lake Michigan in Indiana Dunes National Park, Dunewood Campground is open April 1 through October 31. It has 66 campsites (53 conventional drive-in sites and 13 walk/carry-in sites); restrooms and showers; dump station. RV allowed; some sites have limited RV length. Pets are allowed in the campground, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet or caged. Lake View Beach on Lake Michigan is located 1.5 miles north of the campground – dogs on a leash are allowed at Lake View Beach.
