Located at 151 IA-76, Harpers Ferry, IA 52146, Effigy Mounds National Monument preserves more than 200 prehistoric mounds built by Native Americans and is located in one of the most picturesque sections of the Upper Mississippi River Valley. Pets on a leash are allowed on the trails, but are not permitted in park buildings.
