Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks welcome domestic dogs and cats in all parks, including in all public picnic areas and outdoor shelter houses. Pets must be on a leash at all times, unless inside a dog park or at the designated off-leash trail at Rocky Fork. Metro Parks now provides leashed-pet-access to designated trails at all 20 Metro Parks, has fenced-in dog parks at six parks, and provides dog-swimming areas at Battelle Darby Creek and Prairie Oaks. Leashed cats as well as dogs are also welcome on the trails.
